Italian electronic music composer Blue Kid On The Rock releases “Summer Platitudes”

Popularly known as “Blue Kid On The Rock”, Pierpaoplo Abbatiello is an electronic music composer born in the year 1980 in Benevento, Italy. He started his career as an acoustic singer-songwriter in the late ‘00s and was influenced by both old and contemporary artists such as The National, The Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Broken Social Scene, and labels like Arts & Crafts and Sub Pop. Along the line, he developed an interest in the electronica scene, most especially IDM and labels like Ninja Tunes and Ghostly International.

Pierpaolo produced his first demos in 2015 using Logic and DIY equipment. And in the following year, he took a diploma in Electronic Music Production at the popular Fonderie Sonore in Rome, where he was awarded the best track of his academic year, thanks to ‘Love Like A Grandview’. He then began to produce and release his own tunes.

Blue Kid On The Rock’s genre of tunes/music is reinterpreting the 80’s vibes and Synth Wave within a contemporary key, which was influenced by Recondite’s beats and LCD Sound system’s dance-rock, plus the vocals reminiscent of Matt Berninger and the New Romantic age.
